Demorados, rock band from Mendoza

Demorados are a rock band from Mendoza, Argentina. They formed in mid-2022, when Pedro Fretes (guitar and vocals), Valentín Flores (guitar and vocals), Juan Pablo Costa (keyboards and guitar) and Maximiliano Blaskovic (drums and vocals) were eighteen and had no songs of their own yet.

The sound

Not purely rock, not purely pop. The foundation is garage-band basics: guitars, drums, vocals. Keyboards sit on top of it, taking the weight off and letting it float. The result crosses alternative rock, pop and indie pop: tracks to jump to and choruses that keep going round your head the next day.

The debut album and BADEN

Their self-titled debut, eight tracks, was produced by Gabriel Nazar (Gauchito Club) and Federico López: Violeta, Incompatibles, Cerrojos, Mesita de Luz, Domenica, El Oficial Marqués, No Esperes and Calor. Together they have passed 330,000 plays on Spotify.

BADEN is the band’s second studio release and first EP: six songs that form a single work while each keeps its own musical identity, produced entirely by the four members, with no outside producer. Badén, Hoy Necesito, Tanto Que Busqué, Soñé, Ya Me Voy de Acá and Sabes de Mí. Listen to it here.

What’s next
